Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in the fast lane
Stuttgart. For 2013, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland boasts the most attractive and extensive moving image coverage in its 24-year history. As the new broadcast partner, the news channel n-tv dedicates a half hour magazine programme to Germany’s fastest one-make series on the Monday after each race. In addition, all rounds can be viewed on the livestream channel of n-tv.de. Moreover, the television station Sport1 televises selected races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland on the same day delayed-to-live in full length. Completing the package is a high quality livestreaming with many additional functions on the official Porsche homepage as well as daily video news clips that are available to all media around the world to broadcast for free on the internet.This season, the television station n-tv shows a 30-minute magazine on the Monday following each race weekend with results and background reports. The programme “PS – Porsche Carrera Cup” airs at the 6.30 p.m. timeslot familiar to motorsport fans. The broadcast of all races via livestream is accompanied by a German commentary, starting with the season-opening race on 4th May where 34 vehicles launch their charge for the Porsche Carrera Cup title. Spectators will not miss any of the overtaking and braking manoeuvres when the young guns challenge the seasoned professionals at the wheel of the classic 911 sports car on legendary race tracks. The season wrap-up devotes itself once again to the highlights in the fight for the championship as well as the most gripping race action and behind the scenes stories.
Each of the 17 championship races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is also shown live on the official Porsche homepage www.porsche.de/carreracup. Here, spectators can choose between a German or English commentary and watch the race in high-definition quality: Starting this season, reception is also possible on mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. Editorial contributions before the start also provide the latest background information from the paddock. In a separate live-timing window, fans can follow lap times and positions on the screen.
In the week after the race events, TV station Sport1 airs in-depth reports of the Porsche Carrera Cup in nine half-hour magazine broadcasts and allows television viewers a glimpse behind the scenes of this thriving race series. After the finale in Hockenheim (20 October), Sport1 televises a season roundup in an extra broadcast.
