The new and existing members of the Porsche Talent Team experienced an extremely exciting day at the German Tennis Association’s training centre in Oberhaching near Munich. Within the scope of the Porsche Youth Development Programme, the five junior girls met children and adolescents belonging to TC Puchheim’s inclusion team.

Porsche has been supporting Germany’s most promising juniors on their way to a professional career ever since 2012. In the 2026 season, Eva Bennemann, Tessa Brockmann, Julia Stusek, Mariella Thamm and Sonja Zhenikhova will benefit from being fostered within the Porsche Talent Team. They were selected for the team by the “Deutschen Tennis Bund” (DTB – the German Tennis Association). Porsche has been the DTB’s main sponsor in the junior set-up since 2012. As a part of the “Talents Hand in Hand” initiative within the scope of the Porsche Youth Development Programme, the five squad members met the TC Puchheim club’s inclusion team. They spent an extremely exciting and emotional day at the DTB’s training centre in Oberhaching near Munich. Under the guidance of Torben Beltz, the head coach of the women’s national team, the top talents started proceedings by putting on a show practice session before going out onto court with the tennis fans from Puchheim.

“It was wonderful seeing the kids’ enthusiasm, the openness with which they welcomed us and the sparkle in their eyes in everything they did,” was how Sonja Zhenikhova summed up her positive impressions. Her teammate Eva Bennemann added: “Taking on the coaching role was a lot of fun. The day with the kids showed us just how privileged we are being able to play tennis the way we do.”
The “Talents Hand in Hand” initiative is designed to sensitise them for social-ecological issues and to awaken their interest in societally relevant topics like inclusion, environmental awareness and healthcare.
